Kuala Lumpur, 17 April 2025 – His Excellency Ambassador Emir Salim Yüksel of the Republic of Türkiye hosted a distinguished luncheon gathering today at the official residence of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye. The event was held to appreciate participants who attended the recent Stratcom Forum on 21 March 2025, as part of ongoing efforts to foster strategic dialogue and regional cooperation.

The luncheon provided a warm and engaging setting for continued discourse among thought leaders, diplomats, scholars, and civil society representatives. In his welcoming remarks, Ambassador Yüksel expressed his gratitude to the attendees for their contributions to the Stratcom Forum and highlighted the importance of sustained collaboration in navigating today’s complex global communication landscape.

Representing the IDE Research Centre was YB Senator Dato’ Prof. Emeritus Dr Mohammad Redzuan bin Othman, accompanied by Tn. Haji Khairul Ariffin Mohd Munir, Senior Research Manager at IDE. Also in attendance was En Ahmad Fahmi Mohd Samsudin, President of the Muslim Youth Movement of Malaysia (ABIM), along with leaders from various Islamic NGOs and members of Malaysia’s academic community.

The gathering not only strengthened diplomatic ties between Malaysia and Türkiye, but also provided an opportunity for participants to share insights on strategic communication, policy-making, and the role of civil society in fostering mutual understanding between nations.

This initiative reflects Türkiye’s commitment to building enduring relationships through open dialogue, cultural exchange, and shared values — in pursuit of a more informed, cohesive, and collaborative global society.
